In June 2026, Public Service Company of Colorado (PSCo) issued its 2026 Dispatchable Distributed Generation (DDG) Request for Proposals (RFP) to procure at least 50 MW of DDG capacity. Eligible DDG resources must: Be standalone energy storage systems, or Include co-located energy storage with renewable generation Be front-of-the-meter and interconnected to PSCo’s distribution system.
This procurement is seeking proposals that will provide reliable and cost-effective DDG resources that are designed to assist in reducing loading on the distribution grid. Targeted locations include distribution feeders with anticipated capacity constraints, including those within the Denver Metro Constrained Transmission area.
