The Alberta Energy Efficiency Alliance (AEEA), in partnership with several distribution utilities in the province, has just released a new RFP related to demand response.  FortisAlberta is one of the utilities behind this RFP seeking a DERMs provider to demonstrate demand response. Currently, there is no ongoing demand flexibility programs in Alberta’s distribution system. Several distribution utilities in the province are seeking to demonstrate load flexibility through a demonstration to showcase the value of DERMs, DR and DSM solutions.

The utilities involved include electricity providers (ATCO, Epcor, FortisAlberta) and gas providers (ATCO, Apex).

The RFP can be found here  www.aeea.ca/dsm.
