Spring 2025 PLMA Conference.

This one-day interactive class delves into the elements of flexible load management and includes an overview of demand response, DERs and flexible load management, technologies, DER use cases, wholesale markets, design and implementation, EM&V, and more.

Class Learning Objectives

  1. Articulate a common language for describing the evolution of load flexibility as seen through the eyes of industry leaders, 
  2. Explain the current market principles and the technologies enabling load flexibility initiatives today,  
  3. Compare how load flexibility programs perform relative to energy efficiency, thermal/battery storage, and renewable energy initiatives, 
  4. Introduce portfolio design strategies and implementation tactics that address the fading boundary between bulk power
    exchange and retail electricity usage.

Who Should Attend

This class is ideal for those new to flexible load management, as well as those with an intermediate level of knowledge and understanding. It is
fast-paced but provides time for questions, discussion, and ongoing interaction with the instructors.
